The Trainer need to establish their credibility within the first 30 min of any training intervention, they then have to build on that to make it a valuable and enjoyable learning experience that changes performance. This workshop will give tools and techniques necessary for achieving this.

Content
Training & Adult learning: what constitutes effective training and learning, Kolb’s learning cycle & styles, and how this affects the delivery of training events.
Presentation skills: the process of presenting training: planning, presenting and practising.
Training Methodologies: design & use of a range of training methodologies: energisers, group work, case studies, role plays, video and 1 to 1 training. Examine their use in capturing and maintaining interest.
Trainer style: the facilitator to presenter continuum and explore own style
To consider how to gain credibility and sell yourself as a trainer
The Training Session: deliver a training session to the other delegates and receive feedback.
Pre course requirements:
The delegates will need to deliver a 20-30 minute training session during the workshop. They should have a topic in mind before the course, which will be prepared & delivered on the workshop. The topic can be either work or non-work related
